Our curated itinerary includes visits to two extraordinary wineries/vineyards, where you'll be treated to delightful wine tastings at each stop.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Pick-up at 10am from Washington, D.C. (Hilton Hotel at L'Enfant Plaza), Alexandria (Potomac Yard Metro), Arlington (Crystal City Marriott and East Falls Church Metro), Fairfax (Vienna Metro) or Reston (Reston Town Center Metro)
  • Behind the scenes access and insights, meet and greet with the owners
  • Drop-off by 5pm​
• Who will be present: This is a group scheduled tour and is the perfect option should you be looking to make some new friends and spend time exploring Virginia.
• Photo/ video: You are welcome and encouraged to take photos and videos.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Most of the tasting rooms visited have fireplaces and other indoor comforts and accomodations. In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by the partner at least 12 hours before the start of the tour. If roads are fair and their partners are open, the provider makes every effort to run our tours as scheduled.
• Arrival: plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
• Parking: There is parking available at the meeting spot.
• What to wear: There is no dress code. Just look presentable and wear something comfortable. You might want to take pictures, so plan ahead. Preferably no open-toe shoes or flip-flops.
• What to bring: Feel free to bring sun hat (in the summer) and sunscreen, warm jacket or jersey (in the fall/winter/spring), comfortable shoes, extra cash if you would like to make any purchases (most locations have card facilities), camera, and your adventurous and happy self!
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No changing rooms but we will stop for bathroom breaks

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• Where do tours depart from?
  • Free pick-up and drop off are included from Washington, D.C.: Convention Center - (901 L St NW, Washington, DC 20001).
• Can we choose the stops?
  • Due to this being a scheduled group tour we cannot change the stops on the day unless to accommodate operational challenges.
• Is drinking alcohol allowed on the vehicle?
  • No. Absolutely Not. Sorry! You'll be able to enjoy wine at the wineries. And please note that no outside alcohol is allowed at the wineries.
• What if I make a mess or damage the van during the tour?
  • In the event of guest sickness, damage to the van, or mess requiring professional cleaning, the card used to pay for the booking will be charged a minimum of $300 unless the responsible party can be charged on site. Should the damages exceed $300, or Spirited Tours is unable to fulfill another tour commitment due to damage caused, the person making the booking and/or responsible party will cover the repair/cleaning and lost income costs incurred.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
