The tour visits three of the Smithsonian’s most visited museums, wrapping with timed-entry access to the National Museum of African American History & Culture. It’s a great way to take in a lot of D.C.’s most meaningful exhibits—without the stress of navigating it all on your own.

Any restrictions to participate?

Age: All age groups are welcome
Physical limitations: Not recommended for guests with mobility issues who may have difficulty walking for extended periods. Participants should be able to walk approximately 2 miles at a leisurely pace

Who can you accommodate for?

Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included
Individuals with disabilities: The Smithsonian museums are wheelchair accessible and service animals are allowed
Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed

What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: Approximately 3 hours
What’s included: Expert guided tour of the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum, Museum of American History, and timed-entry access to the National Museum of African American History & Culture
Who will be present: A professional guide will lead the tour; also, other guests may be joining (up to 10 participants total)
Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservation
Photo/ video: Personal photography is allowed and encouraged; no flash photography in certain exhibit areas

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running
Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
Parking: Parking is limited; public transportation or ride-share services are recommended
What to wear: Comfortable shoes for walking
What to bring:
- Water bottle and essentials for walking
- Phones and electronics are allowed
- Large bags and food are not permitted inside museums
- Personal belongings must be carried at all times; no lockers or storage available
Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms available at each museum stop; no changing rooms or lockers provided

Timed-entry access to the National Museum of African American History & Culture is included but self-guided

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 15 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
