This immersive aviation experience puts you in a highly realistic F-35 fighter jet simulator that mirrors the controls, visuals, and dynamics of a real fighter jet used in advanced pilot training.

During this simulator session, participants work through flight scenarios that include takeoffs, formation flying, and mission-style challenges while sitting in a full-scale cockpit mock-up. The simulator technology uses high-fidelity visuals and systems modeled on real-world avionics to create an engaging and interactive flight experience that feels closer to actual flying than traditional entertainment simulators.

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: Participants must be between 12–99 years old (minimum 6th grade).
  • Health limitations: Participants must be in good general health and able to safely use a high-intensity flight simulator. Individuals with conditions affected by motion, flashing visuals, or high adrenaline environments should consult a medical professional prior to participation.
  • Physical limitations: Participants must be able to sit in a simulator cockpit, operate hand and foot controls, and wear a flight suit for the duration of the experience.
  • Experience level: All levels are welcome.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included. Participants must meet the minimum age requirement.
  • Individuals with disabilities: Accessibility may vary due to cockpit design and simulator controls. Guests with specific accessibility needs should inquire in advance.
  • Pets: Pets are not permitted. Service animals are subject to building access policies.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours total. The experience may run slightly longer depending on team engagement and debrief discussions.
  • What’s included:
    • Two F-35 simulator flight missions per participant as part of a team-based experience
    • Flight suits for both participants
    • Professional flight briefing covering aircraft controls, maneuvering, and mission objectives
    • Guided instructor supervision throughout the experience
    • Individual and team debriefs using The Squadron’s Debrief Methodology
    • Team planning session for a navigation and target-selection mission
  • Who will be present: A trained flight simulator instructor will guide and supervise throughout. The experience is designed for two participants flying as a team; other guests may be present in the facility.
  • Spectators: Spectators are not permitted; all attendees must have a reservation.
  • Photo/ video: Personal photography may be restricted. Video recording of simulator sessions may be provided when available.
  • Specific rules to follow: Participants must follow instructor guidance, arrive on time, and comply with safety procedures and building security requirements.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience and operates regardless of weather conditions.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled briefing start time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.
  • Parking: Parking is available near 7 World Trade Center; public transportation is recommended.
  • What to wear: Comfortable clothing suitable for wearing under a flight suit; closed-toe shoes are recommended.
  • What to bring:
    • Valid government-issued photo ID (required for building entry)
    • Minimal personal belongings
    • What’s not allowed: Large bags and valuables are discouraged; secure storage is limited.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available onsite. Changing into flight suits is part of the experience; lockers are not provided.

  • Participation requires acceptance of terms and conditions confirming good health and releasing the operator from liability related to simulator use.
