The Sky Chaser: Christmas Gifts for Plane Lovers

Aviation Gifts That Leave the Ground

Model planes and aviation books are fun, but nothing compares to the feeling of lift off. These gifts for plane lovers include discovery flights with a certified instructor, scenic helicopter tours over cities and coastlines, and sunrise balloon rides over the countryside. Whether they spot aircraft at the airport fence or have always dreamed of the cockpit, browse our full flying experiences range to find something near them.

Ways to Take to the Skies

For the dreamer who has always wanted to fly, a lesson lets them take the controls with an instructor beside them, which also makes it one of the best gifts for pilots in the making. Sightseers often love helicopter rides over famous skylines, canyons or islands. For a calmer flight, a hot air balloon drifts slowly above the landscape at dawn. Indoor skydiving brings the feeling of free fall without the jump. New flights and routes are added regularly, so there is often a fresh view from above.

A High Flying Gift for Any Occasion

Flights are some of the most memorable Christmas experience gifts on the site, and they are just as popular for Father's Day or a milestone birthday. Send an instant e-voucher by email, or choose a printed gift box to wrap.

Do flying lessons need any experience?

No. Discovery flights are designed for first timers, with a full briefing before take off and an instructor in control throughout.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Flights depend on safe conditions, so operators reschedule if wind, rain or low cloud gets in the way. It is worth choosing a flexible date, especially in winter.
