Hotel Stay Information

• Age requirement: You must be 18 years or older to check into the hotel.
• What’s included: A stay in a hotel of your choice (from a carefully curated list of hotels offered).
• Check-in/check-out: Hotel check-in and check-out times vary. Please confirm with your selected hotel in advance.
• Pets: Most hotels do not allow pets. Check with the hotel directly if you plan to bring one.

Alcatraz Experience Information

• Age: All age groups are welcome.
• Health limitations: Visitors should be comfortable spending time on a ferry and walking around the island. Those sensitive to motion sickness should plan accordingly.
• Physical limitations: This experience involves walking uphill and uneven terrain. The climb from the dock to the cellhouse is approximately 0.25 miles (0.4 km) with a 130-foot elevation gain.
• Children:
  • Toddlers 4 years old and younger are free, do not require tickets and simply board the ferry with your party.
  • You do not need to include any toddlers in your total visitor count to Alcatraz Island.
  • You are welcome to bring strollers, however, there is no stroller storage. Strollers can be boarded onto our vessels and pushed around Alcatraz Island.
    • Unfortunately, strollers are not allowed on the S.E.A.T. Tram. (S.E.A.T. Tram — an electric shuttle that meets each scheduled arrival at the Alcatraz dock and transports visitors requiring mobility assistance from the dock to the prison building.)
• Individuals with disabilities: The ferry and island offer accessibility options. The ferry is wheelchair accessible, and an accessible tram (S.E.A.T. vehicle) is available to transport guests with mobility needs to the top of the island.

    • Prison building main floor
    • All bookstores
    • Museum displays
    • Island theater
    • Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing

• Languages: The award-winning audio tour is available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Russian.
• Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours total, including ferry ride and time on the island. Tour/experience may go slightly longer based on participant engagement throughout the tour/experience.

  • The Cellhouse Audio Tour featuring stories from former inmates and correctional officers

• Parking: Parking is not available at Pier 33. Public transportation or nearby parking garages are recommended.

• Flights & travel: Flights and additional travel arrangements are not included in this package.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference.

All bookings are final and no cancellations will be allowed once the experience is booked. The rescheduling policy will depend on the hotel and restaurant chosen.
