  • Weight: Weight capacity depends on the Chiliboat model: Standard models accommodate up to 265 lbs, Large models up to 375 lbs, and Tandem models up to 485 lbs.
  • Health limitations: Guests with medical conditions, injuries, or other concerns that could affect safe participation should notify staff before the tour.
  • Physical limitations: Participants must be physically able to safely perform light to moderate activity, including pedaling and balancing on a watercraft.
  • Experience level: All levels are welcome. A safety briefing and life jacket fitting are provided before boarding.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: This is not an experience for children.
  • Languages: The experience is offered in English.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: Approximately 30 minutes.
  • What’s included: A Chiliboat water bike, life vest, safety guidelines, and a guided sunset experience along the Delaware River waterfront at Penn’s Landing.
  • Who will be present: Knowledgeable guides will accompany the experience and share insights about Philadelphia’s history and culture. Other guests may also participate in the tour.
  • Photo/video: Personal photos are welcome, but personal belongings should be secured against water exposure. Photos or videos may be taken during the experience for promotional and marketing purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
  • Specific rules to follow:
    • Life jackets and required safety equipment must be worn as instructed.
    • Do not stand while the Chiliboat is moving unless instructed by staff.
    • Do not rock, tip, or intentionally destabilize the watercraft.
    • Swimming, diving, and entering the water are prohibited.
    • Do not remove or tamper with life jackets or other safety equipment.
    • Follow all instructions provided by guides and staff.
    • Reckless, disruptive, or unsafe behavior is prohibited.
    • Do not participate while visibly intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs.
    • Open containers of alcohol are prohibited unless explicitly permitted by management.
    • Do not operate or steer the Chiliboat unless authorized.
    • Do not interfere improperly with the pedals, steering system, or other equipment.
    • Large or hazardous items that could interfere with safety are prohibited.
    • Littering and disturbing wildlife or natural habitats are prohibited.
    • Guests who violate safety rules may be removed from the tour without a refund.

  • Weather dependency: The experience is weather dependent. Tours may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled due to unsafe weather or water conditions. If this occurs, guests will be offered a reschedule or credit.
