Embark on the Guided Redwood Hiking Tour from Fort Bragg Depot for an immersive journey into the heart of the redwoods. This morning hike covers a 3.5-mile, one-way trail that runs alongside the scenic Pudding Creek and ventures into ancient redwood groves, offering a unique perspective on the area's natural beauty and historical significance. The path is well-maintained, with a gentle slope suitable for hikers of all ages, including children and dogs.

Throughout the hike, experienced guides will point out significant historical sites and natural features, providing insights into the flora and fauna that inhabit this lush landscape. The tour includes a picnic lunch, carried in a provided backpack, adding a relaxing break to the adventure. Participants will return by riding the Pudding Creek Express back to the starting point.

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: 13+ 
  • Physical limitations: Need to be able to hike 3-3.5 miles.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: This experience is not recommended for children under 13 years old. All children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 
  • Individuals with disabilities: This experience is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Dietary restrictions: Please make note of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
  • Pets: Well-behaved dogs are allowed with the purchase of a dog ticket. Please bring whatever your dog needs to be comfortable (food, water, dishes, a leash, etc.).

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • What’s included: A friendly guide, a picnic lunch in a custom backpack, and a train ticket back to the depot.
  • Who will be present: A guide will be with you at all times as well as up to 50 total participants.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket.
  • Photo/ video: Photos and video are encouraged!

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance. 
  • Parking: There is parking available at the train depot.
  • What to wear: Comfortable and casual layered athletic attire is suggested to keep warm in the chilly months. Close toed shoes are required. 
  • What to bring: A picture ID that matches the name on your reservation and a water bottle.
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No lockers or changing rooms, but there are restrooms available at the train depot.

 

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 72 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
