The Maker: Christmas Gifts for Art & Craft Lovers

Craft Gifts for Every Skill Level

You do not need to be an artist to love making things. Most of our craft workshops are designed for complete beginners, with an instructor walking the group through each step and the tools laid out on the table. That makes them easy gifts for crafters who already enjoy a hobby at home, and just as good for someone who has always wanted to try but never known where to start. Candle making, soap making, terrarium building and flower arranging are relaxed, sociable options that end with something lovely to take home.

Pottery, Painting and Beyond

Pottery classes put them at the wheel to throw a mug or bowl, while art classes range from guided canvases to paint and sip nights with a drink in hand. For something more unusual, there are stained glass, mosaic, jewelry making, leatherwork, rug tufting and woodworking workshops. These creative gifts suit anyone who likes working with their hands, and more experienced makers can use a class to try a new medium. New studios and workshops are added through the year, so there is often a fresh craft to try.

A Creative Gift for Any Occasion

Art and craft workshops are a favorite in our Christmas experience gifts, and they make a thoughtful birthday gift or a fun way to spend an afternoon with a friend. Send an instant e-voucher by email or choose a printed gift box to wrap.

Do they need any experience?

No. Most workshops are built for beginners, and the instructor explains everything from the first step.

Do they get to keep what they make?

Yes. Most classes end with a finished piece to take home. Pottery may need to be glazed and fired first, so it can take a couple of weeks to collect.
