For those desiring a dreamy conclusion to a strenuous day of hiking, complete with the warmth of a grand fireplace and cozy sheets rather than a sleeping bag, Yosemite's centrally located hotels provide a comfortable alternative to camping. With door-to-door service from San Francisco to Yosemite Valley, guests can enjoy a scenic drive through the Central Valley and California Gold Country, followed by an insightful tour led by a professional guide through less-explored areas of the park. Beyond the valley, the journey includes a visit to the breathtaking Glacier Point and a hike among the Giant Sequoias, with stops at iconic viewpoints such as Tunnel View to capture stunning pictures of Half Dome, El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and more.

Unplug and unwind in these rustic tent cabins in the center of Curry Village in Yosemite Valley, close to dining options, bike rentals, and an outdoor amphitheater where you can enjoy a Ranger-Led Nature Program, slide presentation or scenic movie on a warm summer night. True to the original intent of Curry Village, these tent cabins feature wooden frames wrapped and covered with canvas, wooden floors and wooden doors. While they do have electric lighting, they don’t have electrical outlets, phones, TVs or plumbing. Guests are provided with sheets, wool blankets, pillows and towels during their stay. Bathrooms and showers are shared in a central location.

Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times as well as up to 13 total participants.
Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a reservation.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
Arrival: Plan to arrive at the meeting location 15 minutes in advance.
Parking: Parking is available at the meeting location.
What to wear: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Layers and a jacket are recommended.
What to bring:
- Camera, phone, and phone charger
- Comfortable walking shoes and good socks
- Layered clothing – California’s weather can be unpredictable
- Bathing suit & towel
- A hat, sunscreen and bug repellent
- Small day pack
- Reusable water bottle
- Gratuity for your guide is not included and greatly appreciated if you enjoy the tour.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available at the campsite and you will take bathroom breaks throughout the tour.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

Because of the small-size vehicles used for the trip, there is limited luggage space. Each passenger may bring one overnight bag. The under-seat storage space will accept ~13.5″x12″x11″ if the item is hard-sided; slightly larger if it is soft-sided. If you have larger luggage, most hotels in San Francisco will store your larger luggage after check-out or before check-in (some charge a fee for this service).

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 14 days before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking for a 10% fee. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 14 days in advance means losing the value of your experience.
