Engage in a 3.5-hour pool-only experience, or opt for more extensive half-day or full-day courses including beach and boat dives. These courses are structured to teach you the basic safety guidelines and skills under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. You’ll learn to handle scuba equipment, breathe underwater, and perform basic dive skills, all while enjoying the vibrant underwater life. The full-day course includes a two-tank boat dive, and all courses provide all necessary scuba gear.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Participants must be at least 10 years old.
• Health limitations: Participants must be in reasonable physical health, able to swim, and must review and complete a PADI Medical Form.
• Physical limitations: Ability to swim 200 meters without aid and float for 10 minutes is required.
• Experience level: No prior scuba diving experience necessary, but participants must be comfortable in water.

• Children: All participants, including children, must have a reservation.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: Ranges from 4 to 7 hours, depending on the chosen course.
• What’s included: Scuba gear (mask, snorkel, fins, BCD, regulator set, tanks, weights), academic materials, instructor fees, and pool or open water dive sessions.
• Who will be present: A PADI Professional Instructor will guide you through the course.
• Photo/video: Participants may bring cameras but must ensure they are suitable for underwater use.
• Specific rules to follow: Review and sign a medical waiver; follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Courses go ahead rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe.
• Arrival: Arrive at Gold Coast Scuba by 8 AM for gear sizing and instructional overview.
• Parking: Available at Gold Coast Scuba.
• What to wear: Swimwear under comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes required.
• What to bring:
  • Water bottle (preferably reusable)
  • Sunscreen and sun hat
  • Towel and a change of clothes
  • Government-issued ID for proof of age during wine tasting
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Available at the facility for changing before and after activities.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• Scuba Diving and Flying: Ensure a gap of 18-24 hours between the last dive and any flight to prevent decompression sickness.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
