Paddle over the calm waters shielded by a protective barrier reef, discovering vibrant coral islands beneath the surface. Launch from He'eia Kea Boat Harbor, just a brief drive from the rental pick-up location in Kailua, where you’re equipped with everything needed for the day’s escapade. As you float on the shallow waters of the famous sandbar, enjoy the panoramic views of the lush Ko'olau Mountains and the vast Pacific blue. Perfect for those looking to soak up sun, scenery, and serenity, this experience offers a unique vantage point of Oahu’s natural beauty, turning an ordinary day into an unforgettable adventure.

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: All age groups are welcome
  • Experience level: Suitable for all levels; however, some kayaking experience is beneficial due to the nature of the paddling involved.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
  • Individuals with disabilities: The kayaking activity and the sandy terrain may be challenging for individuals with certain physical disabilities.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 4 hours
  • What’s included: Kayak rental, roof pads, straps for transport, life jackets, and a quick safety demonstration.
  • Who will be present: Our friendly team will guide you through strapping the kayak on your vehicle at our Kailua storefront; you will then head out independently to the launch area.
  • Photo/ video: You are encouraged to take your own photos. Capture your adventure and the scenic environment!
  • Specific rules to follow: Do not launch kayaks at the boat ramps as per harbor rules. Alcohol is prohibited on holidays and most weekends at the sandbar.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: The experience runs rain or shine.
  • Arrival: Please show up 15 minutes before your booking time at 134B Hamakua Dr. Kailua, HI 96762.
  • Parking: Available at He'eia Kea Boat Harbor with plenty of public parking.
  • What to wear: Swimwear recommended; sunscreen is a must.
  • What to bring:
    • Recommended: Water bottle, snacks, hat, and sunglasses.
    • What’s allowed: Personal items in waterproof containers.
    • What’s not allowed: Alcohol (on holidays and most weekends), as well as any environmentally harmful substances.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
