Start at 134B Hamakua Dr., Kailua, HI, where you'll gear up with everything needed for a safe and enjoyable trip. The provided tandem kayaks, complete with life vests, seat backs, and paddles, are perfect for pairs looking to explore together. Navigate through the ocean, guarded by a sprawling coral reef, to reach the serene Mokulua Nui—a protected bird sanctuary that also frequently hosts sea turtles and monk seals. This tour not only promises spectacular views of Oahu’s Windward Coast but also an intimate encounter with nature at its most pristine.

Any restrictions to participate?

Age: All age groups are welcome, although very young children should be accompanied by adults.
Experience level: This adventure is suitable for all levels, but participants should have basic kayaking skills and comfort in open water.

Who can you accommodate for?

Children: Children are welcome but must be supervised by adults, especially during kayaking and hiking activities.
Individuals with disabilities: The kayaking and hiking elements may pose challenges; please contact us in advance to discuss any specific needs or accommodations.
Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed on the kayaks.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: The tour can last between 4 to a full day, depending on your pace and interest.
What’s included: Kayak rental including tandem kayaks, life vests, seat backs, paddles, special foam pads and straps for your car, a 20L dry bag for personal belongings, and State Wildlife Permits.
Who will be present: Our team will assist you at the start with equipment and provide a brief overview of the route and safety measures; the tour itself is self-guided.
Photo/ video: You are encouraged to bring your own camera or phone to capture your adventure.
Specific rules to follow: Follow all safety guidelines provided, respect wildlife, stay on designated trails during hikes, and pack out all trash.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: The experience is weather-dependent; ideal conditions include calm seas and clear skies. Please check weather conditions before your tour.
Arrival: Please arrive at 134B Hamakua Dr., Kailua, HI, 96734, 1 hour before your intended start time to pick up your equipment and receive your briefing.
Parking: Available at the rental shop; you will transport your kayak to Kailua Beach using your vehicle.
What to wear: Swimwear, water shoes for hiking around Mokulua Island, and reef-safe sunscreen.
What to bring:
- Essential: Water, snacks, sun visor, sunglasses.
- What’s allowed: Snorkel gear to explore the coral reefs if you choose.
- What’s not allowed: Valuables should be left at home or secured as theft from cars can be a risk.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

Be aware of local wildlife and marine conservation laws. Do not disturb the bird sanctuary areas or sea turtles and monk seals. The use of reef-safe sunscreen is encouraged to protect coral reefs.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
