Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: All age groups are welcome.
  • Physical limitations: All participants need to be comfortable running a 5k. Keep in mind that he pace is typically 9 – 10 min./mi. and the longest stretch of running will be just under .5 mi.
  • Experience level: All levels are welcome.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • What’s included: A casual and guided 5K run through Central Park's scenic paths and rolling hills with stops at iconic Central Park locations for insightful discussions about New York's history.
  • Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (up to 15 people).
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running. If conditions are not to your liking, you can reschedule to another run that has space available. In the event of dangerous weather (thunderstorms with lightning, extreme heat or cold, etc.) the provider will cancel the tour and reschedule you.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 10 minutes in advance.
  • Parking: It is strongly suggested not to drive to the meeting location, as parking is extremely difficult to find on the streets of NYC, and parking lots in midtown are extremely expensive. The best options to reach the meeting spots on time are either taxi, bus, or subway. All of the meeting spots are easily accessible by mass transit.
  • What to wear: Athletic clothing and good running shoes
  • What to bring: A water bottle
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There is no bag storage, so come dressed and ready to move! However, the guides wear backpacks and have room to carry small items like keys and phones β€” just ask during check-in.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

  • These tours are non-competitive sight-running tours. Stops will be made at many of the most iconic Central Park landmarks along the way and the history of each of them will be discussed throughout the tour.

Led by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, you'll jog along winding paths and rolling hills past sights such as Bethesda Fountain, The Mall and Literary Walk, the Imagine Mosaic, and many more. At each stop, you'll learn about the fascinating history and cultural significance of these landmarks while taking in the breathtaking views of Central Park all around you.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to stay active, our running tour through Central Park is sure to be an unforgettable experience. So why settle for a boring hotel treadmill when you can join us for a lively and scenic jog through one of the most iconic parks in the world?

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
