Starting from 134B Hamakua Dr., Kailua, HI, gear up with everything you need for your ocean excursion. Each tandem kayak is equipped with life vests, seat backs, and paddles, and can accommodate up to two adventurers. Special foam pads and straps are provided to secure the kayak to your vehicle, ensuring a smooth transport to the launch point at Kailua Beach. Whether you're seeking a vigorous sea voyage or a gentle paddle, this experience promises memorable sights and sounds from Oahu’s pristine coastline.

Any restrictions to participate?

Age: All age groups are welcome; however, young children should be able to sit securely in a kayak.
Experience level: Suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced kayakers. Beginners should be comfortable on the water and capable of handling mild ocean conditions.

Who can you accommodate for?

Children: Children who can sit securely in the kayak can join. All participants must pay to participate.
Individuals with disabilities: The nature of the activity may not be suitable for all types of disabilities, especially those that limit physical mobility or balance.
Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: 4-hour rental.
What’s included: Kayak rental, life vests, seat backs, paddles, special foam pads and straps for car transport, and a map of the area.
Who will be present: Assistance will be provided at the start for equipment setup and directions; the kayaking journey is self-guided.
Photo/ video: You are encouraged to bring your own camera or phone to capture your experience.
Specific rules to follow: Follow all safety guidelines provided, respect wildlife, do not disturb the bird sanctuary, and pack out what you pack in.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: The experience is weather-dependent; it's best in calm weather conditions, typically in the morning.
Arrival: Please arrive at the meeting location 15 minutes before your booking time to handle setup and receive instructions.
Parking: Available at the meeting place location. From there, you will transport the kayak to Kailua Beach using your vehicle.
What to wear: Swimsuit, water shoes for hiking around the islands, and reef-safe sunscreen.
What to bring:
- Essential: Water, snacks, sunglasses, sun visor, and a dry bag for personal belongings.
- What’s allowed: Snorkeling gear if you wish to snorkel around the coral reefs.
- What’s not allowed: Leave valuables at home to avoid theft.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

State Wildlife Permits are required for visiting Kailua's offshore islands, and our team can assist you with obtaining these if needed. Be mindful of the environment and local wildlife, especially when visiting protected areas like the Mokulua Islands, which are bird sanctuaries.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
