Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Minimum age is 13 years old.
• Physical limitations: Participants must be able to swim to attend the surf lesson.
• Experience level: All levels are welcome, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced.

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: This is not an experience for children under 13 years old.
• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: The surf lesson lasts 2 hours, including 15-20 minutes of beach training and the remainder in the water with an instructor.
• What’s included: Surfboards, wetsuits, leash, sunblock, and a CPR & First Aid Certified instructor.
• Who will be present: You will have a certified instructor with you at all times, ensuring personalized attention.
• Spectators: Spectators are welcome to watch from the beach.
• Photo/video: You may take your own photos or videos.
• Specific rules to follow:
  • Participants must follow the instructor's guidance and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Smoking is not allowed.

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: The experience will run rain or shine, as long as conditions are safe for surfing.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance at 3548 Portola Dr, Santa Cruz, CA 95062.
• Parking: Limited parking is available, carpooling is recommended for group lessons.
• What to wear: Wear a bathing suit under your clothes and bring a towel. Wetsuits will be provided.
• What to bring: Bring a towel, sunscreen, and any personal comfort items.
• Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: No changing rooms are available, but a hose is available for rinsing off after the lesson.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

• All surfboards and wetsuits must be returned at the end of the lesson. If you wish to continue surfing, local surf shops offer rentals nearby.

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
