The origins of the word "carbonara" are as intriguing as the dish itself, with some even linking it to the mysterious Carbonari, a secret society from 19th-century Italy. Today, it's universally loved across Italy, and this class will be able to share the magic of making it with you!

Learn how to make perfect linguini from scratch using top-notch semolina flour. While your dough takes a little nap, our cheerful Chef Instructor will show you how to concoct a classic Carbonara sauce from the very beginning. You’ll get hands-on, helping to chop and prepare all the ingredients that make this dish a delightful mix of fresh pasta, crispy bacon, and creamy cheese—what more could anyone ask for?

You’ll have the choice to roll out your pasta dough the traditional way with a rolling pin or with the ease of a modern pasta machine. Once your fresh linguini is perfectly shaped and cooked to al dente perfection, the real treat begins—sitting down to enjoy a beautiful plate of pasta that you made yourself. It’s going to be delicious and fun!

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: This class is approximately 2 hours long.
  • What’s included: All instruction, equipment and ingredients needed
  • Who will be present: You will have a teacher with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (from 8 to 26 people). You will be working in groups of 2 to 4 people.
  • Spectators: Everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: Photography is allowed and encouraged.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This experience is indoors.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance.
  • Parking: You can park at the experience location.
  • What to wear: We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Please dress in clothing you won't mind getting dirty.
  • What to bring: Outside drinks are not allowed and drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. 
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There are restrooms at the experience location.

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly.
