With the guidance of expert, biologist-trained guides, learn about the rich ecosystems while you glide past scenic shorelines.

Morning routines are greeted by the sunrise, with breakfast prepared to fuel the day’s explorations. Each day is a blend of adventure and tranquility, paddling through serene waters and taking in panoramic views of mountain ranges and vibrant horizons. As the journey winds down, the return paddle remains vibrant with potential wildlife sightings, wrapping up with a leisurely ride back to Friday Harbor. What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: Approximately 72 hours from start to finish, encompassing several kayaking sessions each day.
What’s included: Kayak and equipment rental, professional guiding services, meals (breakfast and dinner), and camping gear (excluding sleeping bags and pads, which can be rented).
Who will be present: Professional biologist/naturalist guides will accompany each tour, ensuring educational and safety needs are met. Group sizes are kept small for personalized experience.
Spectators: This tour does not allow for spectators; all attendees must be registered participants.
Photo/video: Participants are encouraged to bring waterproof cameras; the scenic views are exceptional.
Specific rules to follow: Smoking is prohibited during the tour; participants are expected to respect wildlife and adhere to no-trace principles in the natural environment.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: The tour is subject to weather conditions and may be modified or postponed in case of severe weather.
Arrival: Participants should arrive at the meeting point by 8 am on the day of departure.
Parking: No parking available at the meeting point; use nearby options and plan accordingly.
What to wear: Water-resistant clothing, sturdy water shoes, and layers for changing conditions. A rain jacket and hat for sun and rain protection.
What to bring:
- Personal clothing and items packed as per provided list.
- Required to bring lunches for each day, packed in waterproof bags.
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, and personal first aid items.
- Optional items such as binoculars and cameras for wildlife watching.
Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Facilities will be primitive; plan accordingly for camping conditions with no formal restroom or locker facilities.

Participants should be prepared for the physical and rustic nature of a multi-day kayaking and camping adventure. Pre-trip preparation including fitness and familiarity with outdoor activities is recommended. Detailed packing instructions will be provided to ensure comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 30 days before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 30 days in advance means losing the value of your experience.
